SECOND HARVEST FEATURED ON WASHINGTON GROWN SERIES

277148653 369357485187716 7649459862708476000 n Second Harvest is honored to be featured on the latest episode of Washington Grown, which is all about craft beer. What’s the connection? Washington grain. Last year, farmers from the Washington Grain Commission generously donated nutritious, fresh bread to help feed thousands of neighbors in need.

As Joe Bippert from the Washington Grain Commission shared, “I had to work with our farmers to figure out how we could best serve our communities. Really, it was important for them to recognize the need.”

You’ll also meet our friends from No-Li Brewhouse, who donated their “Brew Madness” prize money to provide food for area families. “We have an obligation and a privilege to serve,” said John Bryant, co-owner of No-Li.

We thank everyone at the Washington Grain Commission, No-Li Brewhouse and Washington Grown for shining a spotlight on caring community partners who’ve created new ways to fight hunger and feed hope.
