Fluffy Pancakes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Directions

  1. In a large bowl whisk to combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Make a well in the center and add milk, melted butter, vanilla, and egg. Whisk the wet ingredients together and slowly incorporate the dry ingredients surrounding the wet ingredients. The batter will be thick but can be thinned out with a little milk if necessary.
  2. Heat up your pan or griddle, and wipe with a little butter to grease the cooking surface. Pour 1/4-1/3 cup of batter onto the cooking surface and gently spread out with the back of your measuring cup.
  3. When bubbles form on the top of your pancake it usually means it is ready to flip, look for a golden brown color on the bottom then flip and finish the cook before removing the pancake and repeating the process.
