Buffalo Chicken Dip

This simple dip is a deliciously easy side or appetizer. Greek yogurt and cottage cheese make this buffalo chicken dip a low-fat, higher-protein version of the classic. It is so good you might even want to eat it with a spoon!
Cooking Tip

If using an oven, broil the last two minutes for a crisper topping. Serve with vegetables, chips, pretzels, or other sides.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 cup nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup small curd cottage cheese
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, divided

Directions

Oven

  1. Preheat oven to 400 °F.
  2. In a bowl, combine chicken, buffalo sauce, yogurt, cottage cheese, and 1 cup cheddar cheese.
  3. Pour into an 8×8 baking dish. Top with remaining cup of cheese. Bake for 25 minutes.

Crockpot

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Pour into crockpot and top with extra cheese if desired. Cover and cook for 4-6 hours on low or 2-3 hours on high.
