Denise Dixon Algood, MD MPH

Dr. Algood’s educational background includes a medical degree from Michigan State University, an MPH from the University of South Carolina and a master’s degree in nutrition from Cornell. She is Board certified in Occupational Medicine and Preventive Medicine. Since retiring in 2022 after a 30-year career in medicine, she has been a consistent volunteer at the Second Harvest warehouse in Pasco. She is a member of the Kay Porta Society and actively volunteers in the Bite2Go Program for Jefferson Elementary in Richland. Dr. Algood is a world traveler and has been to nearly 50 countries. She volunteers in youth-oriented STEM education programs, enjoys the cultural arts and creates abstract art pieces.
