Ingredients

Vegan if subbing butter for oil
  • 2 cups fresh, canned or frozen fruit, diced or sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter softened or 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp whole-wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp chopped nuts (optional)

Directions

  1. Slice or dice fruit. If using frozen, thaw first.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix together butter/oil, oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nuts.
  3. OVEN: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place fruit into muffin tins, spread crumble mixture on top. Bake 15 minutes or until topping is golden brown and fruit is heated through. If using a dish instead of muffin tin, you will need to cook for longer.
  4. MICROWAVE: Place fruit in a microwave-safe dish. Use a dish that is wide enough so that the fruit is about 1 inch deep. Sprinkle crumble mixture over the fruit. Microwave on high 5 minutes or until fruit is as tender as you like.
