Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt & sugar in a large bowl.
Add about 3/4 of the milk. Mix well, then gradually add the rest of the milk until a slightly tacky (not sticky) dough is formed. Knead into a smooth ball.
Transfer dough to a floured surface and cut into 4 evenly sized pieces. Shape each into a ball, sprinkle with flour, and roll into a circle about 1/4 inch thick.
Heat skillet over medium heat and pour in a little oil. When the pan is hot, brush the flatbread with oil and place oil side down on the pan. Brush top with additional oil. After 3 minutes, flip and cook other side for about 2 minutes. Cook until both sides are golden brown.
