FAQ

 

WHAT TO WEAR: Please dress for the weather, your comfort and safety. Closed-toed, sturdy shoes are required. Wear layers, warm gloves, protective outer gear etc. For your safety and the safety of others, single use masks are required at all times. If you do not bring a single use mask, Second Harvest will provide one.

WHAT TO BRING: Your smiling face and generous heart. Coffee, water, and donuts will be provided. Please bring your own snacks if you have dietary restrictions.

WHERE TO ENTER/PARK: You will need to enter the fairgrounds at the RED GATE by heading WEST ON BROADWAY AVENUE FROM FANCHER ROAD. This is the only way to get to the red gate entrance. Look for the big green and orange “Volunteer” flag at the RED GATE. Once in the red gate, parking attendants will help you find open parking in the designated lot.

ROADWAYS TO AVOID: 

  • Havana Street
  • Sprague Avenue east and west of Havana Street
  • Broadway Avenue west of Havana Street

Traffic will be highly congested, please plan up to 30 additional minutes in travel time to ensure on-time arrival for your shift.
