The Second Harvest Hunger Relief Network is a cooperative organization that includes Second Harvest and a team of independent food banks. Members serve as regional food distributors to provide a more effective response to hunger in Eastern Washington and North Idaho. Second Harvest secures donated food from farmers, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, individuals and government sources. Members redistribute the free food that Second Harvest provides to other partner food banks and meal programs in their region. Second Harvest shares best practices for safe food handling and distribution, meal program training, and nutrition education resources. Together, this network leads the fight against hunger in the Inland Northwest.
