March is National Ag Month, and Second Harvest is grateful for all our wonderful ag partners like Easterday Farms! Easterday Farms has been a generous long-time agricultural donor to Second Harvest. A family-owned farm since 1958, Easterday began packing their own label twenty-five years ago. With the onset of their new business, they began donating their locally grown produce to Second Harvest. “Second Harvest is a valued partner, client and friend in helping combat hunger in Washington state,” said Easterday Farms representative Matthew Wood. “Partnering with Second Harvest has allowed us to have another outlet for product and help with a good cause at the same time.”
Last year, Easterday Farms provided 100,000 pounds of potatoes and onions to people facing hunger in our community. They also donated potatoes and onions to Second Harvest’s Thanksgiving Turkey Drives in Spokane and the Tri-Cities. Thank you, Easterday Farms, for helping get healthy food to people who need it most! To learn more about National Ag Month, go to https://2-harvest.org/national-ag-month/.
