Beef Counts program aims to help Spokane's needy famlies

SPOKANE, Wash.  --  The Washington Beef Community donated 1,000 pounds of beef Wednesday to help people in need.

Organizers said it was part of the Beef Counts program that aims to help people who cannot afford food. KREM 2 partnered with The Washington Beef Community for Tom's BBQ forecast this year.

Rosauers donated 10-cents per pound of beef sold to the program, according to organizers.
