Most people have a jar of yellow spice mixture in their cupboard labelled “Curry”. Most people have been to an Indian Restaurant and been taken away by the symphony of exotic spices and flavorful sauces. But can you make an authentic tasting curry at home from scratch?
Join us for a special class where we will demonstrate how to build three tasty and aromatic curries: Coconut Vegetable Korma, Butter Chicken, and Red Lentil Dal. You will learn some background information about the history and diversity of regional cuisine throughout India, and watch as we prepare these three spice (doesn’t mean spicy) laden dishes along with steamed basmati rice. You will also have the opportunity to make your own batch of Garam Masala, an iconic spice blend used throughout India.
At the end, participants will sit down and sample the three dishes before heading home with recipes and their fresh spice blend. Come get curried away!
