UPDATE: In the interest of public health, and to be as supportive as we can do our generous restaurant and beverage partners who make Taking a Bite out of Hunger worth attending, we have decided to cancel the in-person May 13 event this year and are transitioning to a virtual fundraising effort with details forthcoming. For those generous sponsors and ticket holders who have already committed to our event this year know that a member of our Philanthropy Team will be reaching out to you in the days and week ahead to share the news personally.Through sponsor and attendee generosity, Taking a Bite out of Hunger was projected to generate more than $275,000 in support, which would have provided food for more than 1 million meals. We hope all of our partners will consider opportunities to help us close that gap and care for those affected by hunger now and in the weeks and months ahead. If you have immediate questions please contact Chris Houglum directly at 509-850-6231 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Taking a Bite out of Hunger, now in its 26h year, is a culinary adventure that includes microbrews, wines and nonalcoholic beverages. Guests can bid on silent auction items that include everything from sporting events, golf outings, dining, jewelry, decor, getaway packages and more.
Funds raised at this event, our largest annual fundraiser, help Second Harvest distribute over 2 million pounds of food each month to those in need in the Inland Northwest.
