VACCINATION CLINIC DISTRIBUTION AND HANFORD FUNDRAISER – MAY 21

PARTNERING TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITY HEALTHY

Second Harvest brought a delivery of prepacked boxes of pantry staples to a vaccination event at Lakeview Mobile Home Park in Pasco last weekend. More than 300 families received shelf-stable goods, including meat, fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, rice and beans. Pictured below is Councilwoman Barajas of Pasco displaying some of the food items families received. Second Harvest is proud to work with community partners to help address a variety of health needs for our neighbors facing hunger. Thank you to the Community Health Plan of Washington for generously sponsoring this event and the UFW Foundation for collaborating to make it possible!

ONE HANFORD FEEDING FAMILIES FUNDRAISER

Second Harvest would like to offer a big THANK YOU to everyone who donated to the One Hanford Feeding Families Fundraiser this year! In just a few weeks, the event raised $47,200 to help get food to people facing hunger in the Columbia Basin in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this videoJohn Eschenberg, president and CEO of Washington River Protection Solutions, shares his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the fundraiser on behalf of all the participating companies and unions. Thank you to the Hanford community for being a committed partner in ensuring that our neighbors in need can access nutritious food.
