Thank You

Special thanks to Fred Meyer for its grant of $36,174.25 toward Second Harvest's Mobile Food Bank program. The very generous donation was generated through Fred Meyer's Bringing Hope to the Table. The annual June campaign is a partnership between Fred Meyer and its vendors and customers. Fred Meyer features certain products in its ads and in-store. In return, those vendors make donations to go to local food banks. More than $3 million was raised this year nationally across The Kroger Company and Fred Meyer was able to donate more than $180,000 to food banks in the Northwest. Volunteers from Fred Meyer joined others to support Second Harvest's Mobile Food Bank at Millwood Presbyterian Church on Friday, Aug. 13. They contributed 105 hours to bag and distribute fresh and frozen foods to 175 families (about 500 individuals). Pictured are Fred Meyer volunteers at the Millwood Mobile Food Bank.
